My apologies for once again being late; I’ve been incredibly busy with a multitude of things, most notably spending every waking hour watching whatever Olympic sport happens to be on the tube at the moment (trampolining is by far my favorite yet, though table tennis is scheduled for later today…), drinking what scientists will later determine to be dangerous amounts of coffee, and getting repeatedly beaten by my mother in internet scrabble. As I type, the following email just popped up on the screen: “HA, I WON. LOSER!!!” Thanks, Ma – love you too…
I’ve since recovered from that blow to my ego and humbly present to you yet another beach photo for your consideration and review. Perhaps I need to rename this program “Saturday (or Sunday) Photos,” but I digress….
PS: What color are your fire hydrants? Ours (in Memphis) are silver:
PPS: Let’s be fancy internet pals! (Shameless, I know…)

Mom?? Ha haa!!!! You better get a scrabble book
Now why are the hydrants gold? Dog deterents?
She’s even more of a Scrabble fiend than I (which is difficult to believe yet still true).

We don’t have fire hydrants that proudly show themselves off – ours tend to be underground. We are very discreet …………
You always seem to take the good ideas; or, you come up with them before we do, at least. Well done….

This can’t get scarier. Morning(in India) I was asking you whether we are getting any surprise for next Saturday’s post, and within hours I see this post (on Monday morning). But indeed it was pleasant surprise.
What color are your fire hydrants?(You ask)
Ammmm.. I am too busy reading a book or chatting with friends while travelling that I never bothered to check the colour of fire hydrants. Now I am wondering whether we even have them!
Craaaaazy – it’s no big deal, really; I have ESP.
I certainly hope you have them…ya know, in case of a FIRE-

I have a hydrant in my front yard. Which makes for very low insurance rates.
It was a nice red but last year they came and painted it yellow…
Lucky you-
Yellow? Seems a tad distracting to me…

Love the photo of the beach. But that hydrant is freaking me out!
Thanks! And….I’m sorry, I guess?

Ours are yellow. I’m pretty sure they’re painted that way. (?!?)
I LOVE that beach photo too!
Another yellow? Must be a conspiracy somewhere with municipalities and yellow paint manufacturers..
Thanks! (Hat tip)

Hydrants are painted red in Red Sox nation. Red Hydrants seem to stand out so the neighborhood dogs can find them quicker
Is the beach image a photo or artwork?
Go Sox!
It’s a photo from earlier this summer in southern Alabama.

Silver seems odd, but so is yellow like they are here. I have a little something for you at my place…
Silver IS odd; I’m jealous of cities with red hydrants…(evil eye). Yellow still seems a tad strange.
Heading over riiight….NOW

We have underground fire hydrants down under – at least around my living location. Forces dogs to “fertalise” the flora
.
Finally got around to adding your new site to my feed. Now I can see when you post something without waiting for you to fuel me.
On the topic of adding, facedbook friend’d! First fearless aussie to join the fray. Cheers mate.
